These futureproof, interoperable digital identities built by D3 act as your personal, unique digital identity, or in other words, as your address.
Instead of having a long, unreadable alphanumeric address - which often lead to user error while typing, and are much more exposed to malicious threats - users can simply share their personalized Name Token with friends, exchanges, customers, etc.
*CORE Name Tokens are unique Web3 identities that can be used across web3 in multiple ways:
A simplified, multichain, cross-platform wallet address;
Infrastructure identifier;
Cross-platform username for dApps;
Using them on Social Media.
Why *CORE and not .CORE
*CORE Name Tokens feature an asterisk between the name and the extension, instead of a dot. In short, dots “.” are for domains, which are fully integrated with the domain name system (DNS), allowing users to access internet infrastructure, while D3 Name Tokens offer Web3-only digital identity features, they are unique Web3 identifiers and not domains.
