How Sparks Work: The Baseline System That Never Sleeps
Campaigns come and go but the baseline Sparks mechanism is always on. That means every day, active users across the Core ecosystem continue earning Sparks, no special event required.
Sparks are updated daily at 00:00 UTC and are based on:
What you hold: Wallet balances of whitelisted assets earn Sparks.
What you do: Lending, borrowing, swapping, and LPing all count - some actions earn more than others but they need to be in whitelisted dApps.
How often: The more transactions you make, the more Sparks you generate.
How much: Bigger volume = bigger Sparks.
Who you invite: Earn 10% of your invitees’ daily Sparks (and 2% from their invitees)
So even without campaigns, you can still rack up Sparks just by holding the right tokens and staying active in Core’s dApps. No hype, no waiting…just consistent rewards for consistent engagement.
⚠️ Not Every Trade Counts
Here’s where some people mess up: Only whitelisted assets and pools are eligible for Sparks.
Trading random tokens in non-whitelisted pools won’t earn anything.
✅ Always double-check before you act:
- Go to Explore Tab
- Pick your dApp
- Click “Explore Opportunities” to see which assets and pools are eligible

Use Your Ignition Profile
Every user has an Ignition Profile, your personal Sparks dashboard:
Set a custom name and avatar
Connect Twitter (X) to showcase your identity
Track your badge progress and activity level
Your leaderboard rank updates daily based on your Sparks—check it directly from your dashboard.
To edit, click the meatball menu (three dots) on your profile card.
Wallets, dApps, and Earning Sparks
There are two main ways your assets help you earn:
1. Ignition Wallet Balance
Hold whitelisted tokens in your wallet on Core (like stCORE, CLND, USDT, etc.). You earn Sparks daily just for holding.
2. Ignition dApp Balance
Deposit those tokens into whitelisted dApps (for lending, borrowing, or LPing) to earn even more.

Boost Sparks with Multipliers
Every asset type has a different multiplier depending on how you use it:

Hold 10 stCORE in your wallet:
10 * $1.50 * 1 = 15 Sparks/day
Lend 20 stCORE in a dApp:
20 * $1.50 * 2.5 = 75 Sparks/day
Bonus: Campaigns are time-limited events offering boosted multipliers or unique challenges. They’re not always live, but when they are? They stack on top of your existing activity—meaning even more Sparks.

Earn Sparks by Inviting Friends
Bridge $50+ to unlock your personal invite link.
Then earn Sparks from anyone you onboard:
10% of Sparks earned by your direct invitees
2% from your invitees’ invitees (Caps may apply, but it’s a solid passive boost.)
Slashing is Real. Don’t Get Caught
If your Sparks activity drops too low, you could get slashed.
Slashing kicks in if:
You earn 90% less than your average
You’ve already been warned
It’s your second violation or more
Here’s how it works:
On your first violation, there’s no penalty.
On the second, you lose 10% of your Sparks.
On the third, 19% is slashed.
On the fourth, you lose 27%.
Good news: New activity stops slashing immediately, so just stay active—even small actions count.
