Following a successful governance vote, Core’s Dual Staking tier requirements are being updated to further strengthen Bitcoin-Core alignment and enhance rewards for active participants.
New Maximum Tier Ratios Approved
The vote passed with broad community support and approved the following maximum tier ratios (CORE:BTC):
Satoshi Tier (Highest Rate) – 34,000:1
Super Tier – 12,750:1
Boost Tier – 4,250:1
Live Ratios
To ensure a smooth transition, the new ratios will be phased in gradually. Effective immediately, the following CORE:BTC ratios are now live:
Satoshi Tier (Highest Rate) – 29,000:1
Super Tier – 10,875:1
Boost Tier – 3,625:1
This change increases the incentive for BTC stakers to stake more CORE to maintain or upgrade their reward tier.
Why This Matters
By increasing the CORE staking requirement per BTC, Dual Staking becomes a more powerful mechanism for reinforcing long-term alignment between CORE and Bitcoin holders. These changes support both network security and sustainable yield over time.
