Build addictive, easy-to-play games that appeal to a broad audience with simple mechanics and short gameplay sessions.

Total Prize Pool: $380,000
The Core Gaming Hackathon offers $380,000 in prizes, spread across diverse categories to reward exceptional gaming innovation and development.

Winner Prize Pool: $30,000 in CORE tokens distributed across three tracks for Top 3 teams

Core Builders’ Incentive Program: $150,000 in CORE tokens to support project growth.

Core Starter Program: $200,000 worth of exclusive benefits (security audits, Google Cloud credits, and more).

Evaluation Criteria

To be considered for rewards, participants must meet the following criteria

Core Token Utility

The game should demonstrate Core token utility through in-game activities, such as minting daily participation NFTs.

Mainnet Deployment

Games must go live on Core Mainnet within two weeks of the winner announcement to remain eligible for rewards

GitHub & Demo

Submit your game’s GitHub repository and a demo video showcasing gameplay during the submission process.

Tweet Your Build

Tweet about your project, tagging @corechain_devs, to share what you’ve built with the community

1. Who can participate in the Core Global Gaming Hackathon?

This hackathon is open to all Web3 gaming developers, game designers, blockchain developers, and anyone with a passion for creating decentralized games. Whether you’re a solo developer or part of a team, you’re welcome to participate!

2. Can I submit more than one project?

Yes! You can submit multiple projects, but each project must meet the hackathon’s criteria and follow the submission guidelines. Make sure to give each one the attention it deserves.

3. What if my game doesn’t fit into one of the hackathon tracks?

We encourage you to explore the themes, but if your game doesn’t fit neatly into one track, we will still evaluate it based on innovation, technical quality, and how it uses Core chain. Feel free to reach out to the hackathon team if you have questions.

4. Can I use pre-existing game assets in my project?

Yes, you can use pre-existing assets, but they must be properly licensed or open-source. Make sure to follow all copyright and intellectual property guidelines when using third-party assets.

5. What if my game is not yet live on the Core Mainnet by the hackathon’s end?

Games must be deployed on the Core Mainnet to be eligible for prizes. If your game is on the Core Testnet by the end of the hackathon, you’ll need to deploy it to the Mainnet within two weeks after the winners are announced to qualify for rewards.

6. What kind of support can I expect during the hackathon?

Throughout the hackathon, you’ll get expert-led online workshops, Q&A sessions, and access to Core’s developer resources.
